Billie Jean Stover

Billie Jean Stover of Titusville, FL, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023 in Southern Living of Titusville.  She was born in Kennard, TX, on March 2, 1932, later graduating from Kennard High School and secretarial college in Houston.  Billie Jean was a proud Air Force wife, living in 4 states and 2 countries (Libya and Spain), never more than 3 years at a time during her husband’s 20 year military career.  She kept the home fires burning even when her husband, Edgar Wayne Stover, was stationed on remote duty.  Upon retirement from the Air Force, they moved to Melbourne and then Titusville in 1975, as her husband enjoyed a second career in the Kennedy Space Center Fire Service.  Wayne or Ed, her husband of 63 years, predeceased her in 2014.  They were married for 63 years, and he attributed her with teaching their children to be an asset to society with Christian training: a strong work ethic, helpfulness to others and love of family.  Billie Jean is survived by four children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  She and her husband loved travel and on retirement traveled the country in their motor home.  Billie Jean also enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, bowling, working at the polls, reading, going to the theater or lunch with friends, and hosting family gatherings. She attended Park Avenue Baptist Church as long as she was able.  She was all about love and helpfulness.  Billie Jean especially enjoyed being with her family.  She will be greatly missed.

Her funeral service will be 10:30 am at North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville, on Friday, January 27.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to either the Hospice of St. Francis or Southern Living of Titusville, Titusville, FL.
