Stephen W Ambrose

Stephen William Ambrose, “Stevie”, slept peacefully on unto death on July 31, 2021 at the age of 49.  He was born on October 24, 1972 in Melbourne, Florida.  He had a happy and productive life.  He was deeply loved by his family. He graduated from Pine Grove School for the Disabled in 1992.  One of the fondest memories his sister Carol had with him was reading books to his mother.  He enjoyed bowling, clogging and swimming.  Wrestling was his all-time favorite thing to watch on television. He was a member of “The Special Spotlight Theater”.  He also participated in the Special Olympics with swimming and bowling and was quite well at it.  Stevie was a kind and sweet soul and his family adored him. Everyone he met would be greeted with a kind smile and warmness.  His space at the table will forever leave an emptiness in the hearts of those that cared for him.

Stevie is survived by his brothers and sisters, Cheryl (Mark) Hayes, Carol (George) Breaux, Marvin Ambrose, Helen (Jerry) Watson, Lisa Szewczyk, Tommy Ambrose (Greg) Rushing and Joe (Cindy) Ambrose.  He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Steve and Patsy Ambrose and his brother, Steve Ambrose Jr.
